THORNTON, Colo.—Relatives of a family of five who were killed in a collision in suburban Denver are thanking community members for their support.

Randy and Crystal Stollsteimer and their three young boys were killed Feb. 18 when an SUV crossed a median, struck a sedan, went airborne and hit the top of the Stollsteimers’ pickup.

The Denver Post reports that Randy Stollsteimer’s father, Chris expressed his gratitude Saturday to community members for their prayers and contributions to a fund for funeral costs.

Thornton police say the SUV that hit the pickup was driven 33-year-old Monica Chavez. She hasn’t been arrested.

Police say they’re still investigating.
