Denver philanthropists Frederic and Jane Hamilton have donated $250,000 to the University of Denver to strengthen ties between its School of Art and Art History and the Denver Art Museum.
The gift will fund a five-year visiting artist program. Two artists a year will create installations for the museum and concurrently interact with DU students through critiques, lectures, demonstrations and workshops.
Frederic Hamilton is the museum’s board chairman, and Jane Hamilton is a member of DU’s board of trustees.
