Getting your player ready...

Accessory Workshop will make scores of iPad owners i-happy with the company’s new tyPad, a folding leatherette protective iPad case with a built-in, Bluetooth-enabled wireless keyboard. No more having to carry around a separate iPad dock or external keyboard for faster and more efficient typing than is possible using the iPad’s touchscreen. The case also functions as an iPad stand. The tyPad, which runs on an included, rechargeable lithium battery, has a spill-resistant silicone keypad, dual-shift keys, “home” and “search” hot keys and a USB port connector for attaching a USB mouse. You can use the tyPad keyboard and iPad touchscreen simultaneously, getting the best of both worlds. Estimated charging time is 3.5 hours; continual use time, about 55 hours. Currently available in black, but look for more colors, from bright blue or pink to earth tones, later this year.
