Several inns in northern California’s Mendocino County are offering free nights and other perks during the March and April whale-watching season. For example, Dennen’s Victorian Farmhouse, a B&B in Little River, has a third-night-free offer during the town’s whale festival, Friday to March 14. Rooms start at $188 per night double, including taxes and full breakfast; for a three-night stay, the rate is $125 a night. Guests who stay for only two nights receive a pair of whale-watching tickets (valued at $80) through April. St. Lucia family deals.
With the Go Bananas summer family program, more than a dozen hotels on the Caribbean island of St. Lucia are offering a variety of deals, such as free stays, kids meals, upgrades and excursions, room discounts and discount cards. Sample deal: Stay two nights at the Fond Doux Holiday Plantation, a 19th-century estate house overlooking the Pitons UNESCO World Heritage Site, and get the third night free. Eurostar rail sale.
Rail Europe has a sale on spring and summer travel aboard the Eurostar, which connects London with Paris (2 hours, 15 minutes one way) and with Brussels (just under two hours) via the Channel Tunnel. With the Eurostar High Speed Deal, get 20 percent off Comfort (a.k.a. Standard Premier) class. Prices vary depending on dates and times, but with the deal, London-Brussels and London- Paris round trips generally run about $250, down from the usual $310 and up.
