Cheap eats in Estes Park.

Every Thursday in March, 27 Estes Park restaurants will offer deals for $3 per person, from 4:30-7:30 p.m.

Mining history.

On Saturday, the Legendary Ladies will be portraying famous individuals from mining history at 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. at the Western Museum of Mining & Industry in Colorado Springs. There will also be hands-on activities — such as wool spinning, knitting and sewing — for all ages. An Edwardian Tea also will be offered. Space is limited. or 719-488-0880

Snowmass St. Patrick’s.

Snowmass Village goes all-out green with a full lineup of Irish fun for St. Patrick’s Day on March 17. Celtic dancers and bagpipers, a Lucky Leprechaun Scavenger hunt, free traditional Irish and rock concerts, green beer and Irish cuisine, “green” ski runs and more highlight the celebration.

Crane Days in Eckert.

The 10th annual Eckert Crane Days will kick off March 19. The event celebrates the migration of sandhill cranes. Starting at 8 a.m., visitors can gather at Fruitgrowers Reservoir to observe the cranes and water birds. After that, there will be presentations by a naturalist/ornithologist and a talk by artist Merry Cox. Finish off the day by watching the cranes land at the reservoir, and enjoying the evening reception at Surface Creek Winery and Gallery.
