Q: Verizon Wireless disclosed last week that it will stop offering its unlimited Internet data plan this summer and move to tiered pricing based on how much data a subscriber uses. How will this impact existing customers?

A: Verizon spokesman Bob Kelley told me that subscribers currently enrolled in the unlimited data plan can stay on that plan through the duration of their contracts. Once the contract is completed, subscribers can remain on the unlimited plan as long as they don’t change devices.
