COLORADO SPRINGS — Stephen Schultz scored a power-play goal midway through the third period as Colorado College rallied to beat Wisconsin 2-1 on Sunday in the clinching game of their Western Collegiate Hockey Association series.

The Tigers (21-17-3) advanced to next weekend’s WCHA Final Five. They won the last two games of the best-of-three series after losing the opener 3-1 on Friday. Colorado College won 4-3 in overtime Saturday.

Jaden Schwartz assisted on both Tigers goals Sunday.

Craig Smith staked the Badgers (21-16-4) to a 1-0 lead with a power-play goal in the closing minutes of the second period.

The Tigers tied it on Nick Dineen’s power-play goal at 9:27 of the third. Schultz, who assisted on Dineen’s goal, then broke the tie at 13:21 of the third. It was up to the goalies from there.

Joe Howe had 33 saves for Colorado College, and Brett Bennett made 24 stops.
