Police and the FBI are looking for a man they believe robbed a bank in Thornton last week.

At 5:50 p.m. on Friday a suspect entered Academy Bank on 9901 Grant St. and demanded money, according to a news release from the FBI in Denver.

The man, who acted like he had a weapon, fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect is described as 25 to 35 years old, 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing 160 to 170 pounds.

Thornton police are assisting in the investigation.
