A memorial service for violinist Eugene Fodor, a Colorado native who lived much of his life in the state, is scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday at the Calvary Baptist Church, 4881 S. Acoma St., in Englewood.
Fodor, who achieved stardom in the classical world but suffered a career collapse following a 1989 drug arrest, died Feb. 26 in Arlington, Va. He was 60.
In lieu of flowers, his family has asked that memorials be sent to The MusicianShip or Limbs for Life Foundation.
Tributes to Fodor will be taking place in other cities in the United States and Europe as well.
