CLARIFICATION: A story on Page 1A on Tuesday about the Denver police chief’s recommendation to fire an officer incompletely described efforts to reach Denver police Lt. Matt Murray for comment. Murray had spoken with a Denver Post reporter before word of the recommendation for termination was confirmed. Another spokesman was then paged twice later in the evening but did not respond.
