About 30 Latino farmers and ranchers met with U.S. Secretary Tom Vilsack Tuesday morning to discuss the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s process to resolve the claims that they were discriminated against when seeking USDA farm loans.
All of the farmers were from southern Colorado, most from the San Luis Valley, according to Collette Harrell, one of the attorneys representing the farmers.
