Denver’s City Council will consider a proposal to merge the city’s Office of Cultural Affairs with the city’s Division of Theatres and Arenas in an effort to save money.
The new agency would combine budgets of the two offices, saving the city $1.2 million from the general fund, according to the proposal submitted Wednesday to the council’s Business, Workforce and Sustainability Committee.
The ordinance is expected to come before the City Council on March 28 for first reading.
