Boulder will receive $2.5 million less than originally expected in federal transportation funds after the Denver Regional Council of Governments this week agreed to reallocate $10 million from various communities in favor of a Denver project, the Daily Camera reported.
Under the new Transportation Improvements Program, which allocates federal funding in five-year blocks, Boulder will lose $915,000 to build a multiuse pathway underpass along the Diagonal Highway at Airport Road near Longmont, as well as $900,000 for an underpass at 28th Street at Wonderland Creek.
