
High winds along the foothills toppled 18-wheelers near Littleton and north of Golden this afternoon, while delaying some departures from Denver International Airport.
Wind gusts up to 75 mph were reported across the region this afternoon.
Between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m., one truck rolled on its side in the eastbound lanes of C-470 at Bowles Avenue, and another tipped over at Colorado Highway 93 and West 64th Parkway between Golden and Boulder, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.
No injuries were reported.
High wind and blowing snow closed a 9-mile stretch of Colorado Highway 125 south of the Wyoming border just after 5:30 p.m., as well.
Winds are expected to persist along the Front Range until Friday, when rain and snow move in, forecasters said.
Gusts up to 40 mph are expected Wednesday.
