Classes will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday at Aspen High School, and sheriff’s deputies will patrol the campus overnight after the discovery of a bomb threat on a restroom wall this afternoon.

According to the Aspen Times, school superintendent John Maloy sent an e-mail to parents telling them the scrawled threat stated a bomb would go off at the school in the “early morning” Thursday.

Bomb squads will conduct sweeps of the campus tonight and in the morning, before students and faculty are allowed back in the school, Maloy wrote.

School buses will operate on a normal schedule, but high school students will wait at the elementary school until the high school opens, according to the district.
