Westminster police Saturday arrested 22-year-old Christopher Thomas Mainock on charges of first- degree murder and sexual assault, two days after he was discovered in a parked vehicle with a dead woman.
Initially responding to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the 11000 block of Stuart Street at 12:40 a.m. Thursday, police found the body of the unnamed woman and Mainock, who was injured.
According to a police statement Saturday, police suspect Mainock killed the woman and then inflicted his own injuries.
The woman and Mainock had once been in a relationship, according to Westminster police. Online records show Mainock lived three blocks from where police found the vehicle. Police are holding Mainock in the Adams County jail with no bail.
