PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Colo.—The vice commander of the Air Force Space Command has been given his third star and promoted to lieutenant general.
Lt. Gen. Michael J. Basla was honored in a ceremony last week at Peterson Air Force Base, home of the Space Command’s headquarters.
Basla has been in his current position since August 2009. His previous assignment include vice director for command, control, communications and computer systems and a stint on the Joint Staff at the Pentagon.
