John Grant and Joel Dalgarno each scored two goals for the Colorado Mammoth in a 7-6 National Lacrosse League victory over Edmonton at the Pepsi Center on Saturday night.
The win moves the Mammoth (3-9) one game closer to the Rush (4-10) as the two teams battle for the last playoff spot in the Western Conference.

University of Northern Colorado basketball player Devon Beitzel was one of five players named to the Lowe’s Senior CLASS Award All-America first team that honors seniors who achieve in the community and classroom as well.
Rycroft leads Eagles over Mallards.
Daymen Rycroft scored 62 seconds into overtime to give the Colorado Eagles a 5-4 win over the Quad City Mallards and evened the Central Hockey League best-of-five series at 1-1. Rycroft converted his own rebound after the Eagles won a faceoff in the offensive zone.
McMahill D-II wrestler of the year.
Western State’s 197-pound national champion wrestler Donovan McMahill was named the NCAA Division II wrestler of the year, the NCAA Division II Wrestling Coaches Association announced Saturday.
McMahill went 34-0 with his second straight national title to cap his senior season. The Weld Central High graduate ended his college career on a 51-0 run.
“When I think back, I couldn’t have dreamed up any better a season,” McMahill said.
