DENVER—Colorado lawmakers often call it “The People’s House,” and they’re rolling out the welcome mat by inviting the public onto the floor of the state House.
House Republicans announced Wednesday that they’re having an open house next week. Refreshments will be served, and lawmakers promise to be on hand to greet the public and show how they work. The public is usually invited to watch the House from an observing gallery, not on the floor below where lawmakers work.
The open house is Wednesday, April 13, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
