DALLAS — Many feared that Nuggets big man Timofey Mozgov would be out for the season, following a nasty fall on Tuesday.

But he is expected to be out 10-14 days, due to a Grade 2 sprain in his ankle (deltoid ligament) and a Grade 1 MCL sprain of the knee.

The ankle is the more serious injury, but there were not any fractures.

The Nuggets postseason will probably start 10 days from now.

Even though Mozgov doesn’t play much, the Nuggets anticipated he would be key off the bench in the postseason. He played well against the Lakers last Sunday, providing size and rebounding.
