DENVER—The Colorado Capitol is back open after a brief evacuation but there’s no immediate word on what prompted it.
Lawmakers and lobbyists poured out of the Capitol just before 10 a.m., when sirens blared during legislative work. The House was debating bills at the time, and senators were meeting with their parties to discuss a series of budget bills before the Senate.
There was no apparent smoke inside the building.
