ASPERMONT, Texas — A wildfire that burned more than 61,000 acres in West Texas remained out of control Saturday.
Alan Craft of the Texas Forest Service said the fire was “zero percent contained,” and he expected it to continue spreading with dry, windy conditions in the area.
Two unoccupied homes were burned, and some livestock were killed. No towns were threatened.
