The U.S. Marine Corps League Detachment 1093 will honor Lance Cpl. Christopher Meis at a Veterans Memorial ceremony, 2 p.m., Sunday.
Meis, of Bennett, was killed in action March 17 in Afghanistan.
A wreath will be laid at the memorial, 35th Avenue and 16th Street, in Meis’ honor and guarded by Marine veterans in dress uniform while taps is played.
The public is invited and encouraged to attend to pay their respects for the latest Colorado Marine killed in action.
