LAKEWOOD, Colo.—A girls’ high school basketball coach has been charged with sexually assaulting two female students at the suburban Denver high school where he worked.
The Jefferson County district attorney’s office says 26-year-old Wesley Adam Specht has been charged with two counts of sexual assault of a child by a person in a position of trust. One count of sexual assault of a child when the victim is under 15 was added Thursday.
Specht was arrested last week on allegations of inappropriate relationships with female students at Alameda High School. Three school district employees were placed on paid administrative leave while officials investigated whether they knew about the relationships. Officials say one has returned to the job.
Specht is being held in jail on a $10,000 bond.
