ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Twins catcher Joe Mauer is going on the 15-day disabled list because of leg weakness.

Mauer had arthroscopic surgery on his left knee in the offseason. Manager Ron Gardenhire said Mauer’s knee has been OK, but the leg weakness has contributed to soreness throughout the body. He is hitting .235 with four RBIs in nine games.

Feliciano could be out for season

NEW YORK — Yankees reliever Pedro Feliciano has a torn capsule in his left shoulder and will get a second opinion before deciding if he should have season-ending surgery. Feliciano said he will see noted orthopedist James Andrews on Monday, then choose a course of action.

Brooks Robinson released from hospital

BALTIMORE — Hall of Fame third baseman Brooks Robinson has been discharged from the Greater Baltimore Medical Center after being treated for a fever and infection.

“I am well on my way to a full recovery,” the 73-year-old Robinson said.
