A man was arrested in Wheat Ridge last night after driving his vehicle off a road, hitting a tree stump and going airborne.
The driver, Jeffrey Gansneder, 43, was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving, said Lt. Dave Pickett, a Wheat Ridge Police Department spokesman.
At about 11:15 p.m., Gansneder was driving “at a high rate of speed,” in the 2800 block of Ames Street, when he “failed to negotiate a jog in the road, went into someone’s yard and hit a tree stump,” Pickett said.
The vehicle “went airborne and landed on a parked car,” Pickett said. He was taken to a local hospital and treated for injuries that are not life threatening.
Further details on his condition were not available.
No one else was injured.
A police investigation into the crash is ongoing.
