DENVER—The Broncos open at home in a Monday Night Football matchup with the rival Oakland Raiders next fall and their 2011 schedule features a visit from former Denver quarterback Jay Cutler and the Chicago Bears on Dec. 11.
The NFL released its schedule Tuesday night even though the owners have locked out the players in a labor dispute that is being played out in federal court.
The Broncos, coming off a 4-12 season that was the worst in their 51-year history, open the John Fox era with their first season opener at home since 2004, hosting Oakland on Sept. 12.
They host Cincinnati the following week, marking the first time since 1998 that they’ll open a season with consecutive home games. But they’ll play seven of their next 10 on the road.
