Polls for every classification of baseball. Records through Tuesday.
The rankings of the state’s highest classifications of baseball got a facelift this week. Both Class 5A and 4A saw their No. 4 teams jump up to the top spot with monster weeks.
In 5A, Cherokee Trail went 2-0 last week with wins over Overland and Smoky Hill, and took advantage Fort Collins’ loss to Rocky Mountain to claim the top spot.
Cherry Creek, last week’s No. 2, tumbled all the way out of the rankings after an 0-2 week extended the Bruins’ losing streak to three games.
4A’s Green Mountain jumped up after wins over Arvada and Alameda, and with former top teams Wheat Ridge and Palmer Ridge both losing last week.
