South Metro firefighters responded to a home at 14810 East Maplewood Drive, near Parker Road and Orchard Road that was fully engulfed in flames this afternoon.

Fire crews responded just after 4 p.m.

A spokeswoman for the fire department said the fire was a first-alarm fire. The fire was under control about 45 minutes later, but the house sustained significant damage.

Two occupants of the home, and three dogs, all evacuated the home unharmed. The family has been displaced due to the damage.

Investigators are still trying to determine what caused the fire.
