Released just more than a year ago, Gesture Search still stands as perhaps the best search function for Android-powered mobile devices. The free app allows you to easily find contacts, applications, bookmarks and songs by drawing letters and numbers on the touchscreen. The program recognizes both upper- and lower-case letters. Results are displayed and updated after each character is drawn. The most frequently or recently used contacts usually appear near the top of the list. It currently only works on Android devices running version 1.6 or later.
