JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Tiger Woods has a minor injury to his left knee and Achilles tendon that will keep him out of the Wells Fargo Championship next week.
Woods said Tuesday he hurt himself hitting a shot during the third round of the Masters. Woods did not say when he might return, but he hopes to be back in a few weeks.
Former Dolphin Mandich dies
MIAMI — Jim Mandich, who won two Super Bowl rings with the Miami Dolphins and later became a popular radio announcer for the team, died of bile-duct cancer. He was 62.
• Washington Redskins defensive lineman Albert Haynesworth was charged with misdemeanor sexual abuse for allegedly fondling the breast of his server in a hotel restaurant in Washington. If convicted, he faces up to six months days in jail and a fine of up to $1,000.
Florida kicks Jenkins off team
GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Florida football coach Will Muschamp dismissed Janoris Jenkins after the star cornerback’s third arrest in less than two years, this time on marijuana possession charges.

Lewis taken out of the running
TRENTON, N.J. — New Jersey’s top election official ruled nine-time Olympic gold medalist Carl Lewis is ineligible to run for state Senate because he failed to meet the four- year state residency requirement for candidates seeking elected office.
Lewis said the ruling would be challenged.
Artest wins citizenship award
NEW YORK — Los Angeles Lakers star Ron Artest has been selected for the J. Walter Kennedy Citizenship Award presented annually by the Professional Basketball Writers Association. The award honors a player or coach for outstanding service to the community. Artest was picked for his attempts to promote mental health awareness.
• Former Minnesota Timberwolves coach Kevin McHale is expected to interview for the Houston Rockets coaching job vacated by the departure of Rick Adelman.
