Watching the royal wedding
Where to go for coverage of Prince William and Kate Middleton tying the knot.
In Colorado, it will be 3:30 a.m. Friday when Kate Middleton begins her procession through London to Westminster Abbey. The ceremony is scheduled to begin at 4 a.m.
TV will have churned out hours of wall-to-wall royals watching coverage before that.
A good bet for watchers:
PBS is picking up BBC coverage, the next best thing to being there, from 1 to 6:30 a.m., locally on KRMA-Channel 6.
More civilized hours:
American network morning shows plan saturation coverage. “Good Morning America” airs from 2 to 8 a.m. on KMGH- Channel 7. “Today” runs from 2 to 8 a.m. on KUSA-Channel 9. “CBS Early Show” on KCNC-Channel 4 runs from 3 to 7 a.m.
Cable marathons:
TLC wedding coverage airs from 3 to 7 a.m. and will be repeated. E!, CNN and Fox News begin at 2 a.m. BBC America offers coverage from 1 a.m. to noon.
Prime-time recaps:
8-10 p.m. Friday on ABC and NBC, or get it done in an hour, 7-8 p.m., on CBS.
Streaming online:
The Denver Post and many news organizations will offer live video via the Internet.
The ultimate royal insider:
Dame Edna, who is providing commentary for Australia’s Nine Network, also will be on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” debriefing from London.
