Getting your player ready...
The Seattle Seahawks took the biggest leap of faith in the opening round, reaching for a player with a third-round grade in Alabama tackle James Carpenter, left. He was productive in his two years with the Crimson Tide and is well- schooled but is not nearly as physical as other tackles on the board. Seattle bypassed far more highly rated players, even at the same position. Outland Trophy winner Gabe Carimi, who started 49 games for the Badgers, went 29th to the Chicago Bears. The Seahawks don’t have a third- round pick, but they certainly could have waited until today to snag Carpenter and had a player with a first-round grade as well.
