An Evergreen woman was killed last night after she was hit by a vehicle in Lakewood.
At 8:20 p.m., Jill Monica Sypert, 49, was crossing Kipling Street just north of Colfax Avenue when she was hit by a vehicle traveling southbound on Kipling, according to a news release from the Lakewood Police Department.
Sypert died on scene.
The driver of the vehicle, Jerome Baca, 57, stopped and remained at the scene.
Some witnesses reported that Sypert may have been crossing outside of a designated crosswalk.
Baca was issued a summons for not having proof of insurance.
