The Army is formally opening a new residential area for soldiers at Fort Carson with 180 four-bedroom houses.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held Thursday at Chippewa Village at the post outside Colorado Springs.
Work on the houses began about a year ago. They were built in partnership with Balfour Beatty Communities.
Soldiers will be able to tour one of the houses after the ceremony.
