Authorities are investigating the death of a 31-year-old inmate in the Larimer County Jail this afternoon.
The man, who was not named, was found non-responsive in a restroom after saying he felt ill while working in the jail kitchen, the Larimer County Sheriff’s Department said.
He died just before 1 p.m. at Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins.
An autopsy is being performed, and Larimer County Sheriff Justin Smith is planning a press conference Wednesday morning to discuss the coroner findings and his department’s internal review of the death.
