A driver who died in a single-car crash on Tuesday in Wheat Ridge has been identified.
Robert B. Ervin, 86, of Golden, died at the scene of the crash when he was ejected, according to the Wheat Ridge Police Department.
The crash happened at about 6:45 a.m. Tuesday near the intersection of West 38th Avenue and Robb Street.
The vehicle ran off the road, hit a telephone pole and then a large tree. Ervin was the only person in the vehicle and there were no pedestrians involved.
