To honor their father, two sisters have donated $2 million to the University of Colorado at Boulder to establish the Louis P. Singer Endowed Chair in Jewish History, making CU one of six public U.S. universities and one of 17 total to have one.
The chair supports a distinguished senior faculty position in perpetuity and bolsters the CU Jewish Studies Program launched four years ago, university officials said.
Midge Korczak and Leslie Singer Lomas said they endowed the chair in appreciation of a father who, they said, stoked their love of history and respect for civil rights.
