A woman was found dead in a home in the 1900 block of East 35th Street in Denver this afternoon after family members asked police to check on her, said police spokesman Sonny Jackson.
A man was taken into custody at another location in the community a short time after the report discovery at 4:10 p.m., “and we’re investigating this as a domestic violence situation at this point,” Jackson said, declining to specify the relationship.
He said later police have taken several people into custody, but it’s too soon to call any one of them a suspect.
The names of those involved have not been released, nor has the cause of death.
Police had not removed the body or investigated inside the home as early evening, because they were waiting on a search warrant, Jackson said.
