Domestic airfares at Denver International Airport from the fourth quarter of 2000 to the fourth quarter of 2010 decreased nearly 29 percent, according to a new U.S. Bureau of Transportation Statistics report.
Only three other airports — in Milwaukee; Atlantic City, N.J.; and White Plains, N.Y. — saw larger decreases, according to the study.
In the fourth quarter of 2000, the domestic average itinerary fare from DIA was $419, while in the fourth quarter of 2010, it was $299.
