BOULDER, Colo.—The acting chief executive officer of Boulder, Colo.-based Sunflower Farmers Market has now been named chief executive officer.
Thirty-four-year-old Chris Sherrell became acting chief executive after former CEO Michael Gilliland resigned Feb. 12. Gilliland stepped down after police in Phoenix said he offered to pay for sex with an undercover officer posing as an underage girl. He has pleaded not guilty.
The Daily Camera reports Sherrell has worked with Sunflower since its inception in 2002 and previously served as president and chief operating officer there.
