Colorado Springs right fielder Charlie Blackmon went 2-for-4 on Sunday to raise his batting average to .326, but it wasn’t enough for the visiting Sky Sox, who lost 5-3 to the Sacramento River Cats in a Pacific Coast League game.
The Sky Sox (13-18), who also got two hits from left fielder Willy Taveras, lost their third straight game.

Ben Packard hit a walkoff home run as the Northern Colorado baseball team came from behind to beat North Dakota 14-13.
The Bears (20-27, 16-4 Great West) scored 12 runs in the final three innings to defeat the Fighting Sioux (6-28, 4-12) for their 12th consecutive conference win and eighth straight victory of the season.
Packard’s round-tripper was the first walkoff for the Bears since Andy Mees hit a game-winner against Utah Valley on May 1, 2009. Packard led the team with a 3-for-4 day at the plate, with four RBIs and two runs scored.
