JEFFERSON, Colo.—Officials say a wildfire burning on up to 150 acres near Kenosha Pass is 20 percent contained.
Forest Service officials said Monday the fire is burning on forest land about 100 miles southwest of Denver. No homes or structures are threatened.
Air support has been grounded by 40 mile per hour gusts.
The fire danger remains high in much of eastern Colorado because of warm, dry weather and gusty winds.
A blowing dust advisory has also been issued for parts of Colorado, including the San Juan Mountains and the San Luis Valley, as well as Arizona and New Mexico.
A 20,000 acre wildfire is also burning just across the Colorado line in southwestern Kansas. Officials say the fire in the Cimarron National Grassland has thrown a lot of ash and dirt into the air.
