
Grandview snagged the top overall seed when the Class 5A baseball state tournament bracket was unveiled this afternoon.
The Wolves (15-4), ranked No. 1 in the latest Denver Post poll, will host the four-team District 1 bracket that also features No. 32 Boulder as well as No. 16 Northglenn and No. 17 Highlands Ranch.
Ponderosa (14-5) is the second overall seed, followed by No. 3 Rocky Mountain (14-5), No. 4 Grand Junction (17-2) and No. 5 Regis Jesuit (13-6).
Palmer Ridge (18-1) is the top overall seed in the Class 4A bracket, while Faith Christian (17-2) is 3A’s top seed.
Each 32-team bracket features eight four-team districts, from which eight teams will advance to the double-elimination state tournament.
The highest seed in each district will serve as hosts. Higher seeds are designated as the home team during games.
