Cosmetics lines by makeup artists have something of a cult following, and NARS, named for French makeup pro Francois Nars, is no exception. From primers and concealers to bold color cosmetics and nail colors, the NARS line and makeup trends introduced by the company are often presented in such designer shows as Marc Jacobs, Tory Burch and Thakoon. Nars has come out with a new book, “Makeup Your Mind: Express Yourself,” featuring before-and-after photos of more than 60 women (and a few men) representing a variety of ages and ethnicities. Among those who worked on the book was James Boehmer, NARS director of artistry.
