Getting your player ready...

Rapids: Caleb Folan scored twice for the Rapids in a 4-1 win over DCU on April 3, but he will miss this game because of a groin injury. Fellow forward Omar Cummings is out with an ankle sprain, but Conor Casey could play. Casey pulled a hamstring against DCU and has not played since. Last week at New England marked the first time since 2008 that neither Cummings nor Casey could play for the Rapids. . . . Colorado split with DCU last season with home teams losing both games. . . . Defender Drew Moor played with DCU defender Jed Zayner for three seasons at Indiana University.

United: Has conceded four goals three times this season — to the Rapids on April 3, at New York on April 21 and at Houston on April 29. But in the two games since the Houston loss, United has conceded only one goal, and that was a penalty kick. . . . United has been playing two rookies on the back line, center back Ethan White and right back Perry Kitchen. . . . Midfielder Dax McCarty played for F.C. Dallas against the Rapids in the MLS Cup Final but was left unprotected in the expansion draft. Portland picked him and traded him to DCU.

Spotlight on Charlie Davies: Davies figured prominently in the U.S. national team’s plans for the 2010 World Cup, but those dreams ended in October 2009 when he was a passenger in an automobile crash that killed another passenger. Three bones in his right leg were broken. He also suffered a torn ligament in his left knee, a fractured elbow, eye socket and nose, a lacerated bladder and severe head trauma. DC United acquired him in February, and now he leads the MLS in scoring with six goals in eight games.
