Getting your player ready...

Rockies history is filled with hitters who’ve found new life at Coors Field, beginning with Andres Galarraga. Colorado traded for Jose Lopez with hope that he would be the latest successful reclamation project. The early results have been discouraging, but Lopez singled in his first two at-bats Sunday, his first multihit game since opening day. Said manager Jim Tracy: “He needs to be given opportunities to get himself on track because I really feel that there’s offensive potential there that will help this club. No doubt in my mind.”

More power to Padres.

The Padres have scored 46 runs in their last six games after scoring 46 in their first 14 games of the season.

May’s a mess.

The Rockies are 3-10 in May and haven’t won a series since a two-game sweep of the Cubs on April 25-26 in Chicago.
