A 9-year-old boy crossing the street in a crosswalk was struck by a car in Pueblo this afternoon. He died a short time later at a local hospital.
Neither his name nor the name of the 20-year-old driver of the Lincoln Town Car that hit him was released by police.
The boy was stuck as he crossed West Pueblo Boulevard near Prarie Avenue at 4:48 p.m., according to Pueblo police.
The driver was not immediately cited, but the accident is under investigation.
