A Windsor woman was sentenced to 10 years in prison for the death of a Wyoming couple she killed last Memorial Day on a highway east of Windsor.
Weld District Court Judge Julie Hoskins on Monday sentenced Landra Fabrizius, 26, to five years each for the deaths of Stephen and Patricia Smith of Cheyenne.
Fabrizius admitted to using methamphetamines three days prior to the crash, and she had trace amounts in her system while darting into traffic at 80 miles per hour trying to pass the car in front of her while traveling east on Colo. 392. She was just a mile from her destination when the head-on crash occurred.
