Crews rushed to shut off the water source in a southeast Denver neighborhood this morning after someone allegedly cut a copper fixture off a pipe.

At 6:46 a.m. firefighters were called to Parker Road and Quebec Street for a water problem, the Denver Fire Department said.

After arriving crews discovered that a copper piping structure had been cut and stolen.

The fire department contacted Denver Water and were able to shut off the water source, said spokeswoman Stacy Chesney.
